Loose Leaf Green Tea – How Is It Different?

A lot of you may be asking yourselves right now about just what the heck loose leaf green tea is, right? How is it any different from the green teas that come right in their individual little tea bags? For starters, how about everything! First and foremost, before going into specifics, it is important to understand just why the tea itself is so beneficial.

For starters, the different varieties of loose leaf teas come from the Camellia Sinensis plant, like many other kinds of tea. The big difference is that green tea does not go through a fermentation process, which keeps its leaves rich and thriving with the antioxidant called catechin, which gives the tea its power to aid in good health.

Organic loose leaf green tea is thus better than the organic green tea found in pre-bagged teas because those teas are basically just “tea dust,” left overs found in the bottom of loose leaf tea containers. This kind of tea may not have as many catechins as loose leaf tea and, because of the way it is packaged, it tends to taste rather bitter once it is finally steeped – as many of you may well know!

Conversely, loose leaf green teas are as flavorful as is beneficial for health and healing. That way, not only can you reap all the benefits of the tea by drinking the loose leaf  kind, but you also get to experience a tea that actually tastes good!

Drinking organic loose leaf green tea is healthy all on its own, because it is a completely natural substance with no nasty chemical additives. There is something calming about drinking tea in general, green in particular, and loose leaf green tea especially, because it tastes good in addition to being even healthier than the kind which comes in tea bags.

But that is not all by a long shot! Just by drinking the loose leaf tea, you are helping your body. Recent scientific studies have confirmed that the tea can kick start the weight loss process, by regulating your body’s sugar and cholesterol levels, increasing your metabolism and energy, and helping your body to burn calories at a much faster rate. There are also significant links between organic green tea and potential benefits in people suffering from cancer, cardiovascular disease, heart problems, and even oral hygiene – so what are you waiting for? Loose leaf green teas are all natural, delicious, and good for both your body and your health – and what could be better than that?
